UMass lifts lockdown after report of armed man on campus
The University of Massachusetts at Amherst issued a shelter-in-place order Thursday evening after getting reports of a hostile armed man in a dormitory on campus.
A spokesperson for the university did not immediately respond to a request for more information Thursday evening, but university officials had warned students and others on campus, through social media, to stay where they were.
